The Hawke Airmax 30 WA 6-24x50 SF AMX IR 10x Mil-Dot Scope was engineered with the particular characteristics of airguns in mind. The H2 optics system used on this scope yields superb results because it has 16 layer fully multi-coated lenses and features a 50mm objective lens. It has a wide field of view and 4" eye relief, and a sturdy 30mm aluminum mono-tube.

The optics package utilizes lenses that are shockproof, nitrogen purged, waterproof, and fog proof to provide a clean and crisp sight picture even in low light or adverse weather conditions. The capped target turrets use 1/10 MRAD clicks to adjust the elevation and windage in a range of 17 MRAD, and the scope uses a fast focus eyebell.

The second focal plane (SFP) mil-dot reticle uses etched glass, and red illumination can be enabled in six different levels of intensity, with off positions between each level. The spacing is accurate at the 10x magnification setting, with aim points 1 mil apart out to 5 mil on all the vertical and horizontal lines, plus hollow posts with mil spacing for bracketing past the aim points. The bottom includes horizontal bars every 1 mil starting at .5 mil that further divide the first portion of the bottom vertical line for long-distance shooting.
